At Workwear Scotland, we are committed to conducting business responsibly, ethically and with integrity.

We oppose slavery, servitude, forced labour and human trafficking in all forms. While we are not currently required to publish a formal statement under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we recognise the importance of taking a responsible and transparent approach to our business and supply chain.

Our approach

As a small independent UK business, we aim to work with reputable suppliers and partners who share our commitment to lawful, ethical and fair working practices.

We expect the businesses we work with to comply with applicable laws and to treat workers fairly, safely and with respect.

What we do

We take a practical and proportionate approach to ethical sourcing by:

  • working with established and reputable suppliers wherever possible

  • remaining alert to obvious risks within supply chains

  • raising concerns where supplier practices appear inconsistent with ethical standards

  • reviewing supplier relationships where concerns are identified

  • encouraging awareness of modern slavery risks within our business

  • where appropriate, asking suppliers about their ethical trading, labour standards and sourcing practices, particularly where goods are sourced through wider international supply chains

Our commitment

We recognise that modern slavery risks can exist in global supply chains, including those linked to garments, textiles and promotional products. As part of our ongoing commitment, we aim to act responsibly, ask sensible questions where appropriate, and keep our approach under review as our business grows.

If we become aware of concerns relating to labour exploitation, forced labour or human trafficking within our business or supply chain, we will take those concerns seriously and review the relevant supplier or sourcing arrangement accordingly.

Review

This statement reflects our current approach as a small independent business and will be reviewed periodically to ensure it remains appropriate to the size and nature of our operations.
